Disappointing Experience at Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Salt Lake City Airport East

During our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Salt Lake City Airport East, we encountered a disappointing experience that left us feeling frustrated and disappointed. The issue began when my wife required assistance getting to the Light Rail Station, which is only 300 yards away from the hotel. Despite being told by staff that they would call a taxi for $12.00 to take her there, she was instead forced to make the painful walk due to lack of funds.

To make matters worse, when I contacted the hotel to inquire about assistance, one of the staff members told my wife that the hotel would not be able to help her at all. However, after double-checking with another staff member, we were assured that the van could indeed drop off my wife at the Light Rail Station.

Unfortunately, this experience was not an isolated incident. Two weeks prior, I had called the hotel to confirm their van service for handicapped guests, and was told that they would be able to provide assistance. However, when my wife needed it most, the hotel seemed to care little about her needs as a handicapped individual.

As a result of this disappointing experience, we left feeling disrespected and undervalued as customers. While the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Salt Lake City Airport East may have some redeeming qualities, their lack of attention to detail and apparent disregard for handicapped guests is unacceptable. We hope that in the future, they will take steps to improve their services and provide a more welcoming environment for all guests.
